Erin creates Kitty and Horsie to cope with hospital visits.

1995

Attacks at playground start (?)

1996

Original Erin splits into Little Erin

1998

Attacks at playground stop (due to moving)
Little Erin goes inside; Marine (Marie) becomes Main
Family moves to Okinawa, Japan

2001

Family moved back to USA
Marine (Marie) splits into Shiloh
Shiloh hides Marine (Marie)
Kitty becomes Main
Kitty splits into Yomi and Sader at some point
Horsie, renamed Morrigan, sent to live in the World of Alter

2008

2/9 -- Thanatos created
4/12 -- Sader falls asleep
5/31 -- Erin graduates Highschool

2010

7/4 -- Morrigan returns to Black Room
10/6 -- Unofficially diagnosed with DID
Anguish, Blissy, Guilt, Jihan, Little Erin, Nere, and Sierra all reveal selves within a 2 week time frame. Exact dates unsure.
11/21 -- DID blog started

2011

2/1 -- Erin moved back in with Parents
4/7 -- Hospitalized due to possibility of self-injury (Yomi and Morrigan determined it was an evil spirit)
4/16 -- Official DID diagnosis from a psychiatrist
4/18 -- The Orphans and Tommi come to the Black Room
5/19 -- Chaos & Justice come
6/15 -- Opal and the Figurines come
8/12 -- Stenno comes
8/14 -- Yomi and Morrigan taken
8/14 -- Anguish becomes a full personality
8/14 -- Storm in the Black Room starts
9/3 -- Sader wakes up
9/3 -- Bloomer taken
9/18 -- Yomi returns briefly
9/19 -- Sader runs inside (too weak to be out all the time); Veritas comes to Sader
9/25 -- Storm in the Black Room stops
10/11 -- Tommi and Sader taken
10/16 -- NightFall comes and makes her plan

2012

June-July -- Erin takes summer camp kitchen job. Tommi and Morrigan learn to Blend.
8/26 -- Sader (renamed Naomi) reappears.
9/2 -- Erin becomes completely tangled up.
9/9 -- Erin untangled
11/11 -- Marie-Shiloh returns. Marie sticks around.

2013

1/11 -- Ellie, Grace, Naomi, and Tommi elect Morrigan as the new Main.

What is Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID/MPD)?

1. The presence of two or more distinct identities or personality states; each with its own relatively enduring pattern of perceiving, relating to, and thinking about the environment and self.

2. At least two of these identities or personality states recurrently
take control of the person's behavior.

3. Inability to recall important personal information that is too extensive to be explained by ordinary forgetfulness.

Who is Erin?

The name of the body and the Original Personality. Erin's mind contains all of the identities that split from her and other identities created. We many identities are the ones who made this blog.

What posts should I read first?

"Discovering Multiple Personality Disorder" is probably where you would want to begin. The posts with the word "About" in the title are simply informational posts about individual alters or the rooms inside; these can be read in almost any order. The other posts should probably be read in chronological order.

Another important post would be "When the world becomes upside down," which is a brief summery of how Erin originally split.

For quick information, click on the "Within Erin" tab or "Terms to Know" tab. This will give you brief information about each Alter, the rooms, and other terminology that is useful for understanding the blog.

Dissociative Blog Showcase -- An index of blogs regarding dissociation. Not all blogs are specifically about DID, but many are. Nor do all the blogs use trigger warnings, so please take care.

ISST-D -- The International Society of the Study of Trauma and Dissociation. The have information about various dissociative disorders and are a great place to look for accurate information.

Fort Refuge -- This is a website that can be helpful. Its forum contains helpful information for abuse survivors, disorder sufferers, and significant others. Here you can network with other people and make a support system for yourself. There is also a chat available to IM live with other people.

T W Crews -- This is another DID website with a lot of helpful information.

The Manual -- Written by Jeff Vineburg, the significant other of a DID family. This is a good resource for everything related to DID/MPD.

Do No Harm -- A non-profit group who's goal is to inspire people to create a better world by intentionally doing no harm to anyone, and, consequently, intentionally doing good.
